Oh, no worries, you’re more than welcome. That’s what we’re here for. I see you’ve been with us as a customer since 1997. We really do appreciate that. Thank you. People have always been my passion and so coming to Comcast, being able to interface with the customer directly from grandmoms that are dealing with, “I don’t understand technology” to kids schooling from home, parents are working from home. Internet is more critical now than ever.

So when they call in, I can understand the frustration. So my job is to alleviate the panic. Let me fix it. And that’s the part of my role that I enjoy. When I first get on the phone, it’s all about the greeting, making sure to be – as the term goes – warm and friendly. I try to let them know that they’re speaking with someone who actually cares about why they’re calling. I want to always remain relatable to the customer. It’s not always what you say, it’s how you say it. So a person definitely wants to know that you understand where they’re coming from.

And I think that’s why I’m passionate about my job so much because every single phone call gives me that drive. It gives me that thrill that I’m helping someone. As a Customer Account Executive, primarily my role is on the phone, but we do have chat agents that can help them in real time chat. We have the different apps that they can utilize to get in contact with us. So there’s a lot of ways that customers can reach us and I let the customer know I have a pretty extensive toolbox here.

So one way or another we are going to resolve the customer’s issue, retain them as a customer and helped them to promote Comcast because that’s what we’re all about, creating customers who will not only stay with us but will tell their friends and family to jump on board as well. Having that patience and the wherewithal to listen for what they’re not saying is going to be a key in helping the customer to get the resolution that’s going to set them up for success. The work from home transition was effortless. Comcast made it so easy.

They gave me all the equipment that I needed. If work life harmony is for you, then this is the way to do it because you have a very set schedule and once your shift is over, it’s over. When I first came home, I actually was a little leery about it. I’m going to be honest, I didn’t know what it was going to be like. I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know if it was going to be for me. But now I love it. The best part about working remotely, the commute.

That two minute walk from my bed to the office? It’s great. Comcast has made me a better person because it’s given me opportunities to grow. The Ad Assist program is a program where the company pays for you to go to school and I took advantage of that and I was able to pay for my bachelor’s degree and now I’m actually going through to get my master’s. 14 years is definitely a long time to be with one company. The reasons that I’ve stayed as long as I have are the everyday benefits, the health benefits, free gym memberships, the Courtesy Services are great.

Job Summary: Inbound Sales at Comcast is a fast paced, high-volume sales role. You will work remotely from your home-office answering incoming customer calls. Total Target Compensation (Base Pay plus Targeted Commission): $43,000 – $50,000

Targeted Commission: $18,000

Hourly Starting Rates from $12.98 to $16.59 depending on location and previous call center sales experience.

Core Responsibilities

Achieves or exceeds sales targets while interacting with new and existing customers via telephone and selling Company products and services.
Demonstrates consultative sales techniques by using probing questions, clarifying needs, overcoming objections and providing solutions that fits the needs of the customer.
Offers assistance to customers for non-sales-related calls to the best of ability and seeks to transition it to a sale.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the Company’s products and services and educates customers while building value in an attempt to overcome objections.
Establishes rapport and promotes relationships by providing a unique positive experience for each customer through personalizing the sales interaction.
Consistently demonstrates professionalism and integrity with a warm and friendly demeanor to customers and teammates.

Exercises sound judgment within the scope of empowerment and acts in the best interest of both the customer and company.
Demonstrates excellent use of soft skills, including active listening, problem solving and responding appropriately.
Maintains high performance levels in a dynamic and highly competitive environment.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of the competitive environment and articulates the Company’s competitive advantage while advocating for our products, services and packages.
Proactively builds relationships within the sales group and other groups, as appropriate, to provide a great customer experience.

Acts as a teammate committed to growth and development.
Navigates between multiple screens, databases and complex data entry applications to accurately and quickly capture information needed to consult the customer and complete a sale.
Maintains excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to articulate relevant information and directions in an organized and concise manner.
Consistently follows critical sales processes to ensure a great customer experience.
Must be able to wear telephone headset and manipulate objects such as pen, keyboard and mouse.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
