Position Summary

The position of Coordinator for the Office of Community Engagement (OCE) at the Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) reports to the Director of Community Engagement. This part-time non-benefitted position has primary duties related to coordination of professional development programming offered through the OCE as well as administrative tasks related to all OCE programming and events. We anticipate a schedule of 18-20 hours per week for this role.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

Administrative Support (50%) may include:

  • Ordering catering materials or supplies
  • Making travel arrangements
  • Updating listservs and calendars
  • Scheduling
  • Coordination of payments and reconciliation of charges
  • Monitoring registrations
  • Event marketing and coordination across multiple platforms

Coordination of Continuing Education Programs (40%):

  • Schedule offerings in line with need and instructor availability
  • Manage online event creation over multiple platforms
  • Manage application/registration/payment process
  • Order and prepare materials
  • Coordinate the marketing for the programs
  • Coordinate CE & CEU documentation for participants

Other duties as assigned (10%)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adept at managing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperation understanding trust and credibility with others
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to effectively engage individuals from broadly diverse communities

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and 2 or more years administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in coordination of schedules or events

Work Schedule

Part-Time 18-20 hours per week.

Hourly Range
The hourly range for the position is $21.00 – $23.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
