Calipsa is a deep learning technology company whose goal is to make the world a safer place by helping to detect and prevent crime. Calipsa’s AI platform analyzes CCTV & IP Camera camera surveillance video in real-time to assess risk and automatically notify security operations staff. Our current focus is on detecting burglary and theft and our clients monitor sites across construction, logistics, industrial, agricultural, retail and residential sectors. The focus of this role is to lead our Enterprise expansion through Pelco and other MSI sales channels


Job Description
Reporting to the MSSSI Global VP of Calipsa Sales, the Enterprise Business Development Manager, North America holds a key position that requires a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about video surveillance and is highly customer focused and efficient. The core objective of this position is to act as a product sales specialist for Pelco Calipsa services and create and win large enterprise and strategic sales opportunities.


Responsibilities and Duties:

Work with MSI colleagues to create and execute a North America focused large & strategic account sales/business plan for Pelco Calipsa, update and modify quarterly to reflect market changes and product innovations.
Partner with and educate the North American Sales Team as the Pelco Calipsa subject matter expert on identifying/engaging key partner and end-user prospects while equipping the team with the knowledge and resources to quickly and effectively close sales for Pelco Calipsa services.


Lead large and strategic sales opportunities for Pelco Calipsa products and services in collaboration with other MSI sales team members in N America.
Collaborate with marketing to develop a plan to identify and execute strategic marketing campaigns and lead-generation activities, to include tradeshow events, partner events, sales tools and web resources, social media and customer interactions as approved.
Work with marketing and product management to develop standardized market presentations and sales tools for use by the North American Sales Team outlining the Pelco Calipsa value proposition for video surveillance and security.


Develop and maintain deep, meaningful relationships within that are relevant to security and surveillance and have the possibility of generating opportunities for Motorola Solutions and to include technology partners, trade associations, affinity groups etc.
Identify product gaps and/or requirements based on customer feedback, market demands and competitive threats that need to be addressed by Product Management in order to maintain and expand our addressable markets and accelerate sales wins. Prepare regular reports and provide to your reporting line and Product Management on gaps and fiscal impact of gaps to Motorola Solutions.


Maintain a working knowledge of competitive offerings and compile data on competitive products and pricing for reporting to the product management and competitive analysis teams.
Schedule regular updates with key stakeholders to maintain relationships and sales momentum.
Participate in channel partner and end-user events as organized by the North American sales team that are relevant to developing and closing large or strategic enterprise opportunities. (Webinars, on-site meetings/demos, regional trade shows, etc.)
Manage resources – marketing budgets, travel budgets, or any other resources the company allocates.

Qualifications:

Seeking 5+ years of software/SaaS consultative & solution sales experience. Seeking experience in video, video analytics or other security technologies.
Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions.
Proven record of achievement in delivering results and developing collaborative relationships.
Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy & sales philosophy
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Must have the ability to travel up throughout North America as business needs dictate


Territory:

The Enterprise Business Development Manager – North America will have the responsibility to cover the entire North American market.
Frequent travel (approximately 60% by air and car) will be required to perform this role. Seeking candidates with close access to a major airport is preferred.
