We’re looking for an amazing Inventory Management Specialist to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle office.  You’ll be responsible for the implementation and execution of new inventory planning and management capabilities that will support Holland America Line, P&O Australia, Princess Cruises, and Seaborn.  With a fleet of 35+ ships and over $500M of technical spare parts, this role will be critical in our mission to improve in-stock availability, optimize spare parts inventory, and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

Monitor shoreside inventory levels and raise requisitions as needed
Manage quarterly inventory rebalancing efforts
Monitor vessel compliance to inventory policy
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the enterprise in support of initiatives


Provide timely and accurate information to incoming requests from internal customers, such as product information and availability

Data Confirmation and Quality Control
Lead pilot projects for new programs and initiatives
Analyzing supply chain processes and recommending improvements to increase efficiency or reduce cost


Requirements

BA or BS Degree or Equivalent Experience
Analytical: Problem-solving, prioritizes alternatives, interest, and ability to learn, data gathering, cost analysis, and modelling, fact-based decision making, knowledge of excel or equivalent.

Inventory Planning: various inventory planning methods to meet availability SLA while minimizing the total cost of ownership.
Execution, Planning, Scheduling, Control: Able to manage expected demand and plan accordingly, schedule timetable of events, and decide when action will occur.
Supply Chain Management: Managing total systems costs by optimizing the flow of materials, economic ordering, and inventory management.


Customer/Client Management: Understanding the stakeholder landscape and organizational know-how with the ability to manage expectations and influence.
Warehousing: Understanding warehousing operations, maximizing freight loads while minimizing freight costs, ensuring efficient use of transportation resources.
Transportation, Distribution, Logistics: Manage transportation operations, maximize freight loads while minimizing freight costs, ensure efficient use of transportation resources


Security and Hazmat Regulations: Understand the industry, state, and government regulations governing both warehousing and logistics functions as applicable.  Always follow safety protocols.  Complaint with required training.
Cruising Logistics and International Regulations: Understanding of the industry dynamics and regulations (eg management of bonded materials, knowledge of trade agreements, hazardous material handling laws, etc)
