The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Manager will be to support the development of the strategy and execution of paid marketing campaigns within the Consumer Marketing group as well as be the consumer team representative on the innovation pipeline programs. This position will have the opportunity to lead multiple initiatives across paid advertising and launch excellence that are core to our growth in the diabetes market.

General Responsibilities

Work cross-functionality within the commercial organization to shepherd the launch omni-channel marketing campaigns
Coordinate and manage relationships with the external advertising agencies
Work together with the Senior Marketing Manager to develop the strategy and execution of paid digital assets including TV, social, display, search, and video
Evaluate output from creative and public relations agencies against strategic briefs and provide clear and insightful feedback.

Monitor and evaluate competitive marketing and PR activity, and develop strategic recommendations from finding and analysis
Shepherd the timely and flawless execution of multiple simultaneous marketing campaigns, keeping both agencies and internal stakeholders on track and accountable
Be analytical and drive consumer research, translate results and implement programs based on insights
Deliver examples of using data to drive insights and impact in the marketplace
Develop as needed business cases for new programs, including demonstrating potential ROI
Understanding the role of mobile in the consumer journey and make UX / optimization recommendations
Ability to collaborate cross functionally, specifically in areas of continuous improvement to achieve key business targets
Think Global – help drive the consumer team vision for global brand consistency

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of experience in marketing, advertising or of relevant experience in a consumer marketing-driven organization. (agency or in-house), MBA appreciated but not required
Excellent creative acumen and design sensibilities
Diabetes-related experience is a plus but not a requirement
Self-starter that is assertive, possesses a high degree of self-confidence and intellectual curiosity, and demonstrates good executive presence

Strong demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence partners in other functional areas.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret data to make recommendations: Being an Excel wizard a plus—even more relevant is being able to turn data insights into a story.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment. Comfortable working across functional areas and at varying levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements: (post-covid) /  can be remote

Travel can be up to 10% per quarter / ability to travel to Acton for important meetings
International travel up to 1x per year
Expected to attend at least 2x per year project related, consumer events, tradeshows or conferences (many on weekends)
