Summary:
The Senior Community Moderator is focused on fostering, protecting and engaging our parent, caregiver, teacher and kid-focused communities. For adults, the focus is moderating our App Store, Facebook and other online interactions. For Adventure Academy, you you will review the chat logs of our customers, ages 8 – 11, to ensure content is age appropriate and provides a safe environment for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and respond to caregivers and teachers reaching out to Age of Learning in our App Stores, Facebook and other social media properties
Engage customers, caregivers and teachers and help increase engagement within our private Facebook groups
Monitor live in-game chat, chat logs and in-game user submitted content
Review account usernames and review for possible use of personal information and inappropriate language
Identify tactics that attempt to bypass chat filters and make suggestions for improvement
Meet regularly with legal team to escalate and evaluate chat-related risks
Assist with creating and monitoring community message boards
Whitelist content as necessary
Act as a liaison between the customer and our customer service team, by extracting chat log information from within the game
Stay current on COPPA Compliance standards, and ensure product is staying within compliance guidelines
Manage community moderation personnel to enable a safe environment for our users that meets SLAs determined by legal and business teams
Manage external and internal software vendors to ensure consistent moderation service quality, including requesting new features, as well as enhancements to existing features
Required Qualifications:
Prior experience working on a MMO in a community moderator role or similar capacity
Prior experience managing people
Detail Oriented, able to identify when something is inappropriate
Internet savvy, with a basic proficiency in MS Office
Must be comfortable with reviewing and discussing content that may be offensive or inappropriate
Fluent in English and knowledgeable of slang terms and colloquialisms
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive “can-do” attitude is a must
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
Proficiency with Community Sift chat filtering Software
