Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Information Technology Analytics Applications Manager to join Boeing’s Mission Accelerator program to lead a team of software development and data analytics professionals in the design, creation, and execution of software solutions In Ridley Park Pa, or Plano TX. In this role, the focus will be on leading teams in delivering a market-leading total customer experience in analytics to Boeing Global Services (BGS) government and military business customers.

Technical leadership and aptitude is essential for success in this role. Strong candidates will have demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.

Primary Responsibilities:

– Managing employees performing development and technical activities in the area of software development and data science
– Managing subordinate staff to include recruiting, training, performance and compensation management, motivating, delegating and monitoring results
– Creating a strong working relationship with product managers, sourcing partners, and technical leaders across the Digital Aviation Solutions organization as well as internal/external customers
– Developing and executing project and process plans, adherence to software quality and compliance requirements
– Management of budget and resources for projects and estimation for incoming projects and requirements
– Providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
– Acquiring resources for projects and processes, providing technical management of suppliers, providing coaching and development opportunities for employees
– Interacting with senior management and customers in support of product deployment and performance
– Implementing efficient software development methodologies to achieve productivity and quality goals

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Specifically, on-site presence is typically required at a minimum of 2 days per week, as well as some travel to customer and employee locations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

– 3 or more years of management experience in software development organizations
– A strong passion for analytics software development and delivering value to customers
– Managing tactical communications and mitigations for all risks
– Experience managing production software development and deployment operations and have a thorough understanding of the entire software development lifecycle
– Knowledge and hands-on experience of Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

– Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
– Prior experience working with defense program aircraft analytics program customers
– Knowledge and hands-on experience of Scale Agile Framework

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).


This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
