As an Assistant Disability Claim Analyst on our individual disability team your day will be anything but routine. This is a small team with a collaborative environment every single day offers new challenges and the ability to use your excellent analytical communication and customer service skills to assist with our client’s disability claims – all during a time in which they may be facing major changes in life.
Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:
Work with individuals who have purchased individual disability insurance.
Acquire analyze and investigate medical financial and contractual information to make effective and timely claim decisions.
Communicate with clients regarding medical conditions restrictions & limitations disability policy provisions claim decisions and all other aspects of the claim process.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding items to ensure compliance with regulations service timing and quality guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of related work experience.
Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree with 1+ years of related experience preferred.
Prior Life and Disability claim experience preferred.
Ability to actively listen while you collect information on the telephone and provide strong customer service skills.
Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy pay strict attention to detail maintain confidentiality and work within the gray.
Excellent analytical organizational problem solving decision-making and multi-tasking skills.
Computer skills and typing proficiency.
Work independently as well as in a team environment.
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives and in some instances a bonus plan whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location work experience education licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
