passivhausMAINE is expanding our training program and is looking for a Training Director to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized enthusiastic and engages easily with others.

This position is full time and is remote though the work includes travel across Maine so an in-state home base will be most convenient. We seek an individual with some fluency in building science but of critical importance is attention to details planning ahead and reliability. See below for a list of responsibilities.

The Training Director will:
- Lead passivhausMAINE’s education and training program including but not limited to
- Lead curricula and content development
- Develop a schedule of events
- Develop maintain and update training materials and templates in print digital and video formats
- Manage instructors and presenters
- Lead marketing and outreach efforts for training programs in concert with Communications Manager
- Provide a smooth experience for participants in training programs from registration through evaluation
Manage registration process
Communicate details about logistics and any preparation necessary before training begins
Prepare event spaces (in person or online)
Responsible for event technology
Evaluate each training and use this feedback to inform future offerings
- Attend industry trainings to learn about new approaches techniques and technology and build skills.
- Install phME displays and materials at events
Mission: passivhausMAINE is a non-profit organization committed to decreasing carbon emissions dependency on fossil fuels and the costs for winter heating in Maine. It works to support the passive house industry and community in Maine North America and internationally.

Globally there are many institutions and organizations which are tackling various aspects of building science and contribute to lowering our energy needs and carbon emissions. passivhausMAINE supports all contributions to the collective advancement of building science and energy/carbon reduction in our built environment. passivhausMAINE hosts and supports trainings by NAPHN PHIUS and PHI
- Experience coordinating training or education programs for adults
- Office/operations management experience
- Facility with technology including databases spreadsheets online meetings
- Experience with construction specifically Passive House technique
- $50000-$60000 + benefits
