JOB SUMMARY:

Leads internal efforts to improve processes policies and procedures to create maximum efficiencies to meet workload demands.

Works to ensure transparency within the division and works closely with the community other agencies and with our partners to solidify the best outcomes for the people served.

Assists in the coordination of the workflow within the division utilizing available staff resources to meet the demands of fluctuating workloads and new and changing programs and regulations.

Make adjustments and solve problems as they arise.

Coordinates with Economic Assistance Division supervisors. Will provide supervision to EA supervisors and subordinate personnel.

Is expected to know and cover the responsibilities of all areas of Economic Assistance Division functions in the absence of any supervisor.

Plans schedules monitors and evaluates the work of subordinate personnel in order to accomplish the goals of the department and to effectively and efficiently utilize resources.

Assists in interviewing hiring training and onboarding of new staff as needed
-
Approves limits or denies leave requests; processes recommendations for promotions transfers or dismissals of team staff.

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with County policies procedures and applicable federal and state laws and rules.

Works with Division Director to lead agency- wide efforts toward developing collaborative and integrated service delivery models and data extraction and analysis to measure effectiveness and engagement.

Works with all members of DHS Leadership to assure consistent modeling and staff demonstration of the DHS Values.

Acts as a liaison with other agencies counties and staff to provide information and implement new programs.

May conduct and/or develop ongoing evaluations of Division’s performance as well as staff’s performance. Works with Division Leadership and/or the Quality Assurance team to carry out changes in policy procedures and processes in order to insure that the Division’s goals are met based on input from staff customers the State and the community at large as well by analyzing statistical data from the various programs.

Develops and monitors Corrective Action Plans Performance Improvement Plans or Interim Action Plans mandated by the State.

Participates in regular meetings with staff individually and/or in groups to communicate information and obtain suggestions to improve unit functioning and to instruct and inform about matters affecting the Division. Hold the division accountable for high performance standards among individuals as well as programs.

Must be willing to perform public relations activities which may include speaking to community and employer groups participating on advisory boards in the community and meeting with state and local officials.

Attends Statewide or program specific meetings as assigned and/or in the absence of the Division Director

Updates Division project management progress and helps resolve any issues with the process.

Reports out to DHS Leadership on monthly accomplishments and award winners.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of management experience or

This position requires standing stooping sitting bending twisting and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
