Job Responsibilities : Operations Associate (Remote Jobs Hiring)
Salary : Competitive Salary
Company : Leap
Leap’s mission is to combat climate change by enabling a reliable electric grid that runs on clean energy. The electric grid is transforming from dirty (but predictable) fossil fuels to clean (but less predictable) renewable energy. To do so, the grid needs more flexible demand and supply to help maintain stability and reliability.
Leap plays a crucial role in opening up wholesale energy markets to all distributed energy resources, enabling our partners to get paid for providing flexibility to the grid.
Leap is a privately-held tech company with funding from top VCs and well-known energy entrepreneurs. Our core operations are in the San Francisco Bay Area and Utrecht (NL), but we are a distributed workplace with teammates based in Atlanta, Boston, Boulder, Chicago, Maui, and Washington, DC.
Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking an analytical and entrepreneurial individual to support Leap’s core business operations and help manage our partnerships with developers, aggregators and technology providers.
This role will drive our day-to-day asset enrollment operations and is best suited for someone who has an eye for detail and building processes. As you become an expert in this role, there will be opportunities to build technical skills by automating as much of the process as you can.
Additionally, there will be opportunities for strategic thinking by working with our product team to build the enrollment process into Leap’s platform and by expanding the enrollment process to new programs and markets.
We are a distributed team with North American operations located in Boston, Boulder, San Francisco and Washington, DC. For the right person, this position can be based anywhere in North America.
Here’s what we hope you bring:
Attention to detail and the belief in prioritizing accuracy over speed for optimal long-term results
Love of problem-solving and ability to chase down answers from other teams and colleagues in the company
Ability to own and execute key processes throughout partner and business operations
Ability to prioritize, juggle and execute tasks to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Empathy for partners and drive to design intuitive processes to meet their needs
Interest in working collaboratively with a diverse team of amazingly talented and fun people
Experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency or energy trading is preferred but not required
Exposure to SQL and either Python, R or Matlab, and an interest in growing your technical skills in SQL and Python
In this role you will:
Manage day-to-day enrollment operations, such as submitting data authorizations forms, registering meters in grid operator platforms, and following up with utilities about enrollment data
Work closely with our partners to support them through the enrollment process and handle exception cases
Build out scalable enrollment processes to enable our portfolio to grow to 100,000+ assets
Drive documentation efforts across the team for key processes and ongoing improvements
Pull and push data from our platform using Python, SQL and internal tooling to complete enrollment operations and report on enrollment conversion rates
Jump on opportunities to automate tasks using Python, SQL and internal tooling
Collaborate with our product team to give feedback on new enrollment features for our partners
