JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Job Description – Part Time Administrative Assistant
Part-time administrative assistant. This position will assist with the administrative work necessary to coordinate with the various funding entities and employers associated with the Penn State Animal Science Apprentice Program and other programs as applicable. All work is currently remote, so the successful candidate must have access to reliable WIFI and related equipment.


Job duties include: 
Compile and organize materials from different sources to prepare documents, materials, contracts, letters and reports
Create and maintain files and databases
Perform data entry; gather, assemble, and format data to create simple reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Some familiarity with Excel is desirable.
Work hours: 15 to 20 a week, flexible.


The part-time administrative position serves as a point of contact for employers and students interested in working with Penn State Animal Science Apprentice Program. The position will assist with communication, document preparation and filing with required partners. The position will also distribute mail, compile, organize and disseminate materials for advising, recruitment, and administrative projects, and coordinate Apprentice appointments.  The administrative position may also support general activities and special events.
