We’re seeking a Senior Chargeback Rep to provide accounting & financial support to the collection team. This high visibility position will provide revenue retention support. This person will be a key member of the Collections team and will post transactions (a lot of data entry) and challenge potential loss and recover funds wherever possible.

The Senior Chargeback Rep will provide the first line support for all incoming credit card chargeback disputes, and will interface daily with internal departments, external service providers, and Yelp Users and Business Owners via email and phone. The successful applicant will be joining a fun, fast paced, high-growth company and will be involved in the on-going building and improving of accounting processes.

Where You Come In:
Investigate US & Canadian chargebacks received from Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, PayPal, and other third party tools; gather all documentation and assess validity of dispute
Update internal spreadsheets with incoming chargebacks received (a lot of data entry)
Submit refund request for valid claims
Present compelling documentation in a clear, detailed, and complete manner to contest disputes on behalf of company

Determine holds on client accounts; block from future purchases
Track chargebacks and update client accounts and spreadsheet with final outcome (a lot of data entry)
Refer suspected fraudulent activity to the appropriate department
Work closely with sales, customer support, operations, and other accounting teams
Work internal inquiries received through Salesforce queue and respond within current SLA Work on team projects as needed

Provide inbound phone support for the overall Collections team
Create and present trainings for internal company teams Assist leadership with creating and implementing processes to ensure standardization across policies, procedures, and processes with the attempt to harmonize company core values
Ensure industry best practices are maintained by attending external conferences and trainings

What it Takes to Succeed:
AA degree or Accounting coursework (Preferred)
Prior Chargeback experience (Minimum of 2 years preferred)
Prior collections, accounts receivable, or banking experience (1 year required)
Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while meeting goals and deadlines
Confidence in collaborating with people at all organizational levels within Yelp and outside of Yelp (ie: Yelp customers, Yelp vendors)

Familiarity with banking & credit card standard concepts, practices, and procedures is a plus
Prior work experience with online advertising is a a plus
Familiarity with GSuite, Microsoft Excel, and Word
Experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information
Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Comfortable being on the phone
A track record of reliability and the ability to thrive when working independently in a demanding work environment

The compensation range for this position is $49,000 to $92,000 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.
