Job Responsibilities : Software Developer II – remote

As a member of the development team, you would be responsible for delivering end-to-end software solutions that fulfill both customer and project needs. This includes writing clean, readable, and reusable code, testing, deploying to end users, and providing support when needed.
The position also includes reviewing code, assessing requirements, designing solutions and responding promptly to internal/external client requests. Development takes place in a fast-paced agile environment that adjusts to meet the requirements of various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Handle development work for enhancements and bug fixes on existing projects or assist with new projects
Develop and document internal systems, business logic, and interactions between internal and 3rd party systems
Work with business analysts, discuss timelines and clarify requirements as it pertains to development work items
Manage code changes using Git version control
Review and provide feedback on code changes implemented by team members
Participate in group design sessions
Work with team members to identify issues in existing software, plan resolutions, and refactor code to improve software reliability and code quality
Work with internal support teams to coordinate the deployment of new code to production environments
Troubleshoot issues reported in production environments from project owner, other internal teams, or end users
Communicate work item statuses, issues, and successes to management
May be asked to aid in testing and sign off of new code
May be required to participate in steering committee meetings to discuss timelines and business requirements
Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred)
4+ years of experience
Intermediate to advanced understanding of web-based applications, object oriented programming, and relational database management systems
Strong independent development skills
Ability to communicate with external stakeholders during design/development/QA
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and can easily communicate with both technical and non-technical team members
Experience with REST API’s
Experience with an MVC design model
Experience with relational databases
Experience with a version control system
Preferred Experience:
o C# and .NET Framework
o ASP.NET MVC
o Microsoft SQL Server
o JavaScript Framework – JQuery, Angular, React
o Git version control
o Microsoft Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS/TFS)
o Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
o Agile team experience
Salary range is $90 to $100k DOE experience and location
