The Division of Undergraduate Education anticipates hiring teaching assistants in the Chem Center (chemcenter.ucmerced.edu) for Academic Year 2022-2023.
The Teaching Assistant (TA) will be responsible for designing and implementing a Chemistry Center that integrates discipline-focused pedagogies and curricula with these and other educational practices that promote student success in lower-division mathematics courses. Responsibilities include creation implementation and assessment of academic support activities enhancing undergraduate student understanding and application of chemistry concepts supervision and pedagogical training of undergraduate instructional assistants oversight of day-to-day lab activities and other duties in support of the center.
The Chemistry Center will be report to the lead instructor attending regular meetings and providing updates to the campus administration as needed.
The University of California Teaching Assistants are represented by the UAW-AFL-CIO.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree is required. Must be a registered UC Merced graduate student in full-time residence. Maintenance of a qualifying grade-point average is also required. Must meet all requirements outlined in the Graduate Policies and Procedures Handbook.
